Member (MILP)
Members of the ILP are professional practitioners with sufficient competence to be operating at a responsible level in a lighting-related role. You are likely to hold a minimum of HNC qualification, or an assessed academic / work- based learning equivalent.
Furthermore, Members are characterised by their ability to develop appropriate solutions to lighting problems, using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity and change.
Subject to compliance with Engineering Council requirements, MILPs may be registered as Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng).
MILP Competency Requirements
A1. MAINTAIN & EXTEND A SOUND THEORETICAL APPROACH TO THE APPLICATION OF LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY
