In 2024, the ILP launched a new arm, Women Lighting Professionals (WLP), to complement both the main Institution and the YLP (Young Lighting Professionals). The WLP runs regular meetings both online and face-to-face, and works to advocate for and celebrate all women working within the industry. The group is open to male allies, advocates, and supporters as well, and is closely affiliated with existing groups such as Women in Lighting.
