The International Commission on Illumination (CIE – Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage) has made two publications available free of charge for the next three months, covering UV-C Photocarcinogenesis Risks from Germicidal Lamps, and Ultraviolet Air Disinfection.

In the UK, the Lighting Industry Association has issued a coronavirus update including UV lighting as a germicide.

The World Health Organization is clear that UV lamps should not be used to sterilize hands or other areas of skin. Find out more here.

The ILP seeks to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any concerns about applying for membership / attending our Exterior Lighting Diploma courses, LDC local events or our one-day courses for whatever reason please let us know and we will try to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that you can fully engage with the ILP.
