Bats & Artificial Lighting Symposium 2019 – call for abstracts

The Bat Conservation Trust is running a Bats and Artificial Lighting Symposium on 21st May 2019 in London at their partner Arup’s offices. The symposium will feature sharing of knowledge and best practice via a series of presentations. Contributors will be from across professions involved in lighting and bats. They are therefore encouraging presentations from a range of perspectives to include:

  • Latest academic research
  • Latest technological advances (lighting or bat surveying/monitoring)
  • Case studies (especially using the updated BCT / ILP ‘Bats and Lighting’ guidance note)
  • Next steps – planned research projects or collaborations

If you would like to contribute a presentation to one of these topics please submit a 250 word abstract (with a title) in Word or PDF format, including your name and your primary affiliation, to Jo Ferguson, Built Environment Officer ([email protected]by 21st February 2019.
