The publication for all lighting professionals.
The Lighting Journal is published ten months of the year, with a bumper issue in the Summer and again at Christmas. The Lighting Journal is distributed to diverse groups of lighting professionals including lighting designers, consultants and engineers.
The Lighting Journal delivers information on all aspects of the lighting profession including technical coverage and development, new products and services, and professional news.
ILP members receive every issue of the Lighting Journal by post and can also access back issues in the library at Regent Place. Contact Us to arrange a visit.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve the Lighting Journal and are collecting regular feedback from our readers. If you would like to be part of our Reader Panel and spare us 5 minutes a month, please click here and we will send you an email each month with a survey link.

The Lighting Journal is the professional best practice CPD publication for ILP members and, as such, our door is always open to ideas or suggestions for articles, write-ups of projects or original research or thought leadership.
It’s very straightforward.
Just drop a line with your idea, outline, suggestion or even draft article to journal editor Nic Paton – nic@cormorantmedia.co.uk – for consideration. It can be as informal or as polished as you like!
Lighting Journal operates an editorial committee and articles may be vetted by the committee as part of the consideration process. Lighting Journal also reserves the right to edit or amend content prior to publication but where possible will do so in agreement with the author.
A forward features list providing guidance on general upcoming topics is available from Emma Barrett at emma@media-shed.co.uk
