Scream the house down

Jun 18, 2020 | Industry

With social distancing still in place and tensions continuing to rise, London-based artist Marcus Lyall has transformed a soon-to-be-demolished office block in London Bridge into an interactive public artwork.

On Friday 19 June at 5:30pm London time, the ILP invite you to join our team scream where you can scream, yell, shout or otherwise vocalise your feelings. We’ll send it to Illuminate Productions and New Arts Projects, and later, a monumental light installation will illuminate the building in response to our voices, shared on YouTube.

The louder and longer our outburst, the bigger the response from the building. The artwork is designed as a safe and constructive excuse for people to release their inner tension – we thought this would be great to do this as a community.

We’ll have a few attempts at the best scream we can make! Feel free to include (and warn!!) your whole household…

If you would like to be part of our team scream, please email jess@theilp.org.uk.

The ILP seeks to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any concerns about applying for membership / attending our Exterior Lighting Diploma courses, LDC local events or our one-day courses for whatever reason please let us know and we will try to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that you can fully engage with the ILP.
