ILP pays tribute to Liz Peck

Jan 11, 2021 | Industry

All at the Institution of Lighting Professionals were greatly saddened to hear of the death of Liz Peck, which was announced last week by the Society of Light and Lighting. We extend our condolences to her family, friends, and all those in the lighting community who are grieving.

Liz was well known for her previous roles as Secretary and Past President of the Society of Light and Lighting, along with being an award-winning lighting designer. What may be less well known is the friendship and support she gave to the ILP which was always very much appreciated.

A full tribute will be published in the Lighting Journal later in the spring. If you would like to share a memory, please contact Jess Gallacher via

Liz, from all your friends at the ILP – rest in peace. We will truly miss you and will treasure the memories we hold.

The ILP seeks to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any concerns about applying for membership / attending our Exterior Lighting Diploma courses, LDC local events or our one-day courses for whatever reason please let us know and we will try to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that you can fully engage with the ILP.
