Written By Lora Kaleva and Colin Ball of BDP.

Colin Ball joins us to present an awe-inspiring paper.

Red light has powerful properties – it has no effect on melatonin production, it maintains maximum iris width, it’s well-suited for night vision, and it makes us look younger. This fascinating lecture will explore the use of saturated red lighting in relationship to art, culture, history and neurobiology, and illustrates why it should be a tool in all lighting designers’ palettes.
