Southwark case study on their EV journey explaining how the strategy was devised and the steps taken to get agreement, how the funding was determined and the funding sources, installation guidance, issues and how these were resolved (or not!) along with new innovation.
Andy Statham of Cast Iron Welding Services Ltd will talk a little about how the services they have provided to heavy industry for decades, has in recent years become more and more applicable to heritage restoration, and in particular lampposts and columns.
There will be something about the “eccentricity” of cast iron, its history, why one cannot test it, or weld it with conventional means. Also, how a “dirty” gas fusion process, developed in the Midlands in 1946, is actually reducing the environmental impact of large restoration projects all over the UK.
You are welcome to bring along images of broken or damaged cast iron assets to share them for comment. The strap line is; “there is no such thing as scrap iron”!
