Your invitation to participate in Light, Seen – a camera on, interactive CPD showcase, held on Microsoft Teams
Circular Economy
The term Circular Economy is gaining a resonance across the lighting industry as it presents its own challenges and opportunities. This presentation will highlight some of the key aspects of the requirements but as the ILP, SLL and LIA are all developing the UK definition for it, then we will leave that to them for now.
We will look at the practicability of working in a Circular Economy and will showcase how we are working to this in the UK. The talk will outline how early LED lighting technology is being ‘upcycled’ to the match the best of the current luminaire technology with very high lumen per watts and luminaires that can ‘talk’ to all manner of things, yet still retaining their core infrastructure. It will consider how upcycling can occur with a technology that is changing constantly.
This presentation will be of great interest to the lighting professional plus those with a keen interest in the environment and protecting the future. It will be of particular interest to local authorities, lighting design consultants and public lighting contractors as it provides detailed technical information on the upgrading of luminaires, and the energy savings being made with existing luminaires.
The presenters will be Nigel Parry & James Coton of OrangeTek. Nigel has over 40 years’ experience in the Lighting Industry across all sectors and James is the Product Manager who is key to the development of new technology and products.
This session is a mix of CPD and company information brought to you in a collaboration between the ILP and Premier member, Orangetek. Our Light, Seen initiative provides a connection whilst we can’t hold face to face exhibitions –so we politely remind our audience to refrain from discussing other companies during the session, just as you would on an exhibition stand.
Everyone is welcome, with your camera on and questions encouraged.
Places are limited – if you book and your plans change, please let us know so someone else can take your spot.
