International Women’s Day

8th March, 2022 All day

International Women’s Day is Tuesday 8 March and as a supporter of Women In Lighting, the ILP is pleased to spread the word about the WIL Global Gathering event.

There are three ways to get involved:

The WIL Global Gathering is an event to celebrate International Women’s Day, the 3rd anniversary of the Women In Lighting (WIL) Project and to connect our growing network and community together.  It features a selection of sessions themed as follows: Global Light, Global Action, Global Work and Global Journey, finishing with Social Roulette sessions where we can meet and speak to people from all parts of the global community.

With ILP Manchester, in Stockport:
ILP Manchester and friends invite all WIL supporters to an informal ‘Local Get Together for the Global Gathering’ on International Women’s Day, Tuesday 8 March. You are invited to join our small group in person, to tune in to the online WIL Global Gathering and enjoy some refreshments together. The venue is Studiotech, Bredbury Park Industrial Estate, Bredbury, Stockport SK6 2SD. Doors open at 10.30am and the event starts at 11am until 2.30pm.
Free, all welcome!
Places limited – first come, first served. Please email jess@theilp.org.uk to reserve a place.

With lighting designers, in London:
An informal gathering will be taking place between 9.30am and 6pm close to Waterloo Station. Designers who wish to pop in for a coffee, or a post work drink, or work from the venue for the day are very welcome. It’s a great opportunity to network with the lighting industry over pastries, canapes and drinks.

Places limited – first come, first served. Please email jess@theilp.org.uk to be connected with the organisers.

The ILP seeks to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any concerns about applying for membership / attending our Exterior Lighting Diploma courses, LDC local events or our one-day courses for whatever reason please let us know and we will try to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that you can fully engage with the ILP.
