• This paper will discuss the viability of solar energy for public lighting and how they can reduce carbon emissions within urban environments in the UK. This draws upon research and investigations undertaken for a number of clients. The paper will briefly analyse what solar solutions are available at the moment, different considerations that may influence the feasibility of such technologies in urban environments and how this can be implemented within different areas of the UK.
