The Institution of Lighting Professionals invites you to this free, fun, friendly evening talk.
Frankie Boyle, Artist and Creative Director meets Wing Commander Calvin Bailey MBE
When you are building a successful career in lighting, art, design or any other subject, it is important to let the world know what you have to offer, and you can’t do this alone. Even the most creative, skilled, qualified person needs to sell themselves and create a support network.
Frankie Boyle is a visual artist who specialises in the language of light as her form of expression. With an impressive portfolio of projects and client list ranging from BBC and Burberry to Samsung and Selfridges, her technical and artistic expertise is second to none. Yet Frankie has not always been comfortable or confident to let the world see her light. A chance meeting with Wing Commander Calvin Bailey MBE has led to the pair creating ways to bring out brilliance, which they will share with the How To Be Brilliant audience.
Wing Commander Calvin Bailey MBE is the commanding officer of 70 Squadron RAF, Chair of the RAF BAME network, and Vice Chair of the Defence Chronic Conditions and Disabilities Network. He is well known for his flying heroics and is a mentor and coach.
Whatever point you are at in your studies or career, we welcome you to come and listen to Frankie and Calvin’s experience and advice, and be inspired to bring out your own brilliance.
Join us in London, two minutes walk from Waterloo station, Tuesday 28 June.
Hope you can make it – ALL welcome!
How To Be Brilliant is brought to you by the Institution of Lighting Professionals in collaboration with BEGA. Their generous support means we don’t charge to attend and all the refreshments are complimentary.
Doors open at 6pm. We aim to start the talk at 6.30pm (being flexible if there are traffic delays!) followed by the chance to chat to the speakers and each other. Doors close at 9pm.
