The Institution of Lighting Professionals invites you to this free, fun, friendly talk.
How to be brilliant at… BEING ON IT
We have one critical message that needs to be amplified and actioned. The lighting industry seems to be going in circles around its own lovely echo chamber.
In David Attenborough’s words: “We need to not just to talk about what we can do, but to do what we can. This is a challenge that we should try to solve in a quick way, but with a long term vision”
We have the plan to help everyone push in the right direction and act now with effectiveness. We will start moving forward faster if we not only apply our knowledge but also communicate it in the most resourceful way.
So let’s talk about communication and action. About keeping promises and avoid having to “apologise for the inconvenience”. Time to act together, our planet will not take apologies, and our future generations depend on us.
Our speakers
Brad and Juan are part of Hoare Lea’s lighting team, dedicated to forging a better future for people and planet.
The session is hosted by Jess and Rob from the How To Be Brilliant Team. They describe Brad and Juan: “This duo is renowned for championing compassion, honesty and fun times. They have lit iconic places such as Heathrow Airport and County Hall; they have lit sculptures for mental health and wellbeing. They know their stuff and they practice what they preach. If you have not yet been lucky enough to attend a Brad and Juan presentation, prepare for a session where you feel welcome, seen and supported.”
Whatever point you are at in your studies or career, communicating, actioning, and challenging is a must! We welcome you to come and listen to Juan and Brad’s experience and advice, and be inspired.
Hope you can make it – ALL welcome!
The How To Be Brilliant series is brought to you by the Institution of Lighting Professionals in collaboration with BEGA. Their generous support means we never ever charge to attend.
