Jul 25, 2019 | Government & Policy

This is your opportunity to get involved with the direction of a huge part of the lighting industry!

EN 12464-1 Lighting of Workplaces – Part 1:Indoor Workplaces is being revised and the committee have prepared a draft for public comment.

The draft is available at: https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2018-03165

This document specifies lighting requirements for humans in indoor work places, which meet the needs for visual comfort and performance of people having normal, or corrected to normal ophthalmic (visual) capacity. All usual visual tasks are considered, including Display Screen Equipment. The illumination can be provided by daylight, artificial lighting or a combination of both.

You will need to register on the site and comments will be accepted until 19 September 2019.

The ILP seeks to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any concerns about applying for membership / attending our Exterior Lighting Diploma courses, LDC local events or our one-day courses for whatever reason please let us know and we will try to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that you can fully engage with the ILP.
