Call for papers: an invitation to everyone in lighting

Feb 24, 2020 | Events

The ILP annual Professional Lighting Summit is booked for 3 and 4 June 2020 at the Watershed in Bristol, with alternative ways to access our CPD content for anyone unable to attend face to face. We are inviting everyone in lighting to submit CPD papers, workshops and ideas – what should be included in these two days of lighting talks? Please let us know what matters to you. Is there some particular knowledge you are seeking; is there a message you want to tell lighting professionals?

Lighting is such a huge topic: we will be running streams to make sure there is content for street lighting engineers, public realm consultants, contractors, designers and manufacturers. So whatever your involvement in lighting, we’d like to hear from you. The programme is put together by a group of volunteers who will have their first meeting on 3 March.

The purpose of the Institution of Lighting Professionals is to connect people together to help educate and inform each other, leading to lighting (or darkness) which benefits people and the planet. Please help us do that!

To offer a paper, ideas or a workshop, please email jo@theilp.org.uk with details of the following:

  • The Author’s full name, role and organisation
  • The Author’s email, postal address, mobile and landline telephone numbers
  • The title of the proposed paper
  • 250-500 words describing the paper with enough information for the reviewers to make an informed decision
  • Details of any event or publication which has previously featured the paper

ILP CPD presentations are a professional opportunity to develop your career. As a not for profit charity, we are very supportive of first-time speakers. Please note, we do not allow marketing or ‘sales’ pitches.
