Looking back to the article in the Lighting Journal in January by Guy Harding, ILPs Technical Manager, Farewell Fluorescents, the article reported on the majority of fluorescent lamps being phased out this year under EU Regulations.

LightingEurope who are based in Brussels, have sent out a press release with a reminder that time is running out and they have produced a summary table with all phasing out dates for general lighting conventional lamps.

ILP CEO Justin Blades stated that this was an important message for everyone within the Lighting Industry and that phasing out fluorescent lamps will bring a number of benefits, including improved energy efficiency, a longer lifespan, and a better quality of light.
